Joe Biden’s presidency will have a lot of firsts, but the only president to be sworn in wearing a walking boot? Did anyone expect that? On November 29th, Joe Biden sustained a hairline fracture in his foot. The injury occurred while playing tug-of-war with his dog, Major, who will be the first rescue dog in the White House. He was first taken for an x-ray, followed by a CT scan. His doctor said that a “Follow-up CT scan confirmed hairline (small) fractures of President-elect Biden's lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are in the mid-foot. It is anticipated that he will likely require a walking boot for several weeks.” The lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones are located in his upper foot by his ankle. The next day while exiting his vehicle to go give a speech, a reporter asked Biden how his foot is doing and he gave a thumbs up. Trump actually retweeted a video of Biden leaving the doctor’s office and wrote “Get well soon.”
